Survivor 50: Jeff Probst hypes upcoming trailer
Tomorrow night on CBS, you are going to have a chance to see the Survivor 49 finale. Yet, at the same time, we recognize that this is not going to be the main event for some!
Instead, the end of the finale / aftershow is going to offer up a first look at the upcoming 50th season In the Hands of the Fans. That is when the network will finally confirm the players from season 49 that are entering the game alongside a number of other returning players. We don’t expect there to be any huge reveals but at the same time, we’re more than eager to get whatever CBS and the producers want to share.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in advance of tomorrow’s finale, here is what Jeff Probst had to say about the all-important all-star season:
Yes, you will learn who we invited from Survivor 49 to play in Survivor 50 when you see the new trailer. We decided that was the best place to reveal it, because the trailer really sets the tone for Survivor 50.
I don’t want to sound like a hype machine, but I’m genuinely excited for people to see the trailer because it really lays out how different Survivor 50 is from anything we’ve ever done. It gives you a sense of the scale, the vibe, the unpredictability, all the things that make 50 feel like its own event. It captures the energy we’ve been building toward for a long time.
As for the After Show, we keep it focused on the journey the players just went through in season 49. Their story deserves that space. The celebration of 50 starts the moment you watch that trailer.
In general, we do tend to think that there will be plenty of time to hype up the next season! We are stoked about a lot of the cast, especially getting to see Cirie back for another go — could this be the season she actually wins? That’s what we’re hoping for anyway…
