Grey’s Anatomy season 22 spoilers: Kate Walsh returning

We do know that in general, nostalgia is one of the primary selling points for a show like Grey’s Anatomy at this point. Because of that, we are always happy to celebrate another appearance from Kate Walsh as Addison Montgomery.

So what more can we say at this point? It is rather simple. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Walsh is going to be appearing in the upcoming January 29 installment of the medical drama. The exact nature of her comeback remains to be seen but at the moment, we are not hearing about her appearing in more than just one episode.

At this point, it is our general sentiment that Addison will be brought in to consult on some sort of case given her expertise, and there could be a chance to touch further on some of the relationships she does have with various other characters.

In general, one of the things that has always made us the most happy here about Grey’s Anatomy is the continued willingness by them to spotlight characters who have not been a part of the universe for a while — or, acknowledge the Private Practice spin-off that was around for a good chunk of time. In speaking of characters who were important to that show, you are still going to be seeing a good bit of Caterina Scorsone as Amelia this season. She just has an extended absence for a certain chunk of the story, but there will be a chance to revisit her part of the narrative in due time. Just consider this something else to be excited about for a moment.
