Elsbeth season 3 spoilers: More news on holiday episode!

For those of you who want to see the holidays expressed within the world of Elsbeth, there is a lot to look forward to! On December 18, the Carrie Preston series is going to air a holiday installment that features not just a big-name guest star, but then also something that is quintessential to this time of year: The Nutcracker.
Of course, not everything on this show is going to be merry and bright. After all, a huge part of the story ahead will be tied to a murder! Since when is that not the case with the show?

“A Hard Nut to Crack” – When an avant-garde choreographer’s “Nutcracker” rehearsal turns deadly, Elsbeth leaps into the cutthroat world of New York ballet, on ELSBETH, Thursday, Dec. 18 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).
So is there a chance that this story wraps up in this hour? We do think that this is probably the case but at the same exact time, we would not be mad at all in the event that there was some sort of cliffhanger. Even a show like this that is largely procedural does still benefit from having a long-term story here and there. This is something that we had last season with the Judge Crawford arc last year, and we think there is room for all sorts of great stuff as we move into the second part of the season.
Honestly, we just hope people watch this — December 18 is pretty close to Christmas for scripted content to air.
