Twisted Metal season 3 renewal: A November 2025 update
We are now officially past the halfway point of November. With that in mind, is more news on the horizon when it comes to Twisted Metal season 3?
Ultimately, at this point we can easily imagine that there could be more anxiousness to learn if the video-game adaptation is coming back, and for many reasons. First and foremost, remember the fact that season 2 ended some time ago; also, we are coming off of Peacock canceling one of their other big-name scripted shows in Poker Face. This does create a mysterious situation where it does feel like things could tilt either way here.

Creatively, we definitely think there are more stories worth telling for John Doe, Quiet, and all of these other characters. Season 2 was as faithful an adaptation of the games as you are ever going to find, and it was brilliantly funny at the same time. We do think that there was a worthy cliffhanger, but the problem is that Twisted Metal is expensive to make thanks to all of its action sequences. Peacock, like most streaming services, do not release information publicly on their ratings. Sure, Mackie is a huge star who likely brings a lot of viewership to the table, but that more than likely only goes so far.
Our general sentiment here is that by the end of this year, we should know more about if a season 3 is happening or not. However, that does not necessarily mean this month! The powers-that-be may still be looking at total viewership versus budget — and yes, it is a total bummer that a lot of these decisions are ultimately financial in nature.
