Only Murders in the Building season 5 finale: Tina Fey cliffhanger!
We certainly anticipated that the Only Murders in the Building season 5 finale was going to bring some sort of cliffhanger our way. Yet, what did we actually get here?
Well, let’s just say that there is yet another dead body in the vicinity of the Arconia — or, in this case, inside the gates by a single finger. The deceased this time around is none other than Cinda Canning, played by Tina Fey over the course of the past several seasons. This is the first time that we’ve had a chance to see her in season 5, and it was when she was done … but also seemingly disguised as the subject of her latest podcast, set primarily in the UK.

Now, of course, we do really wonder further about what happened her. What in the world caused Cinda to don the appearance of her latest podcast guest, while running towards the Arconia to ensure that the trio would investigate her death? It is one of the more challenging mysteries to solve and yet in the end, we tend to think that this was entirely the point.
In getting rid of Cinda, Only Murders is seemingly doing what they can in order to keep the cases connected in some way personally to the trio. After all, her podcast is a big part of what drew Charles, Mabel, and Oliver together. Having her be a victim now allows them to go back into their past, but also dig up a handful of secrets at the same exact time. We tend to think that Cinda will do whatever she can in order to find success as a podcaster, even if that means skirting the rules.
