The Amazing Race 38 episode 4 spoilers: A Harry Houdini spotlight?
After spending the last two legs within the Czech Republic, The Amazing Race 38 episode 4 is going to be heading off to new territory: Think Budapest, Hungary. This is exciting just from being able to see some new geography but beyond that, also some challenges that will test the teams in new ways.
In terms of the game, there is also one other thing worth noting at this point — this is Harry Houdini’s birthplace! It seems like magic could be a big theme for a part of the episode … but it probably won’t be magical at all for the team who finishes in last place.

“What Would Houdini Do?” – Racers travel to illusionist Harry Houdini’s birthplace, Budapest, Hungary, where a puzzling Fast Forward puts one team to the test, while a horse drawn carriage has teams racing against the clock, on THE AMAZING RACE, Wednesday, Oct. 15 (9:30-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
Our general feeling here is that it would be nice to see the Trainwreck Alliance stumble a little bit. Now, this does not mean that we want them to be eliminated; however, this race is just at its best when there are a lot of teams facing some serious obstacles. The more that the show feels unpredictable, the better off it actually is going to be.
The big wrinkle we are still waiting to see here is the U-Turn; after all, won’t this be when some of the competitive juices really get going here?
