There are not a lot of details out there about his specific role beyond that, but is there anything more that you do need to know? He will likely be involved in a lot of cases and have his own back-and-forth with the rest of the team.

We knew that there was a need for a new detective following the exit of Mehcad Brooks. We anticipate that his character’s exit is going to be addressed pretty early on. Want to learn more about tomorrow’s premiere in particular? Then go ahead and check out the synopsis below:
09/25/2025 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Thursday) : PREMIERE: Brady’s squad investigates the death of an exonerated murder suspect and a major lead points to ADA Maroun. Price wrestles with the potential consequences of a guilty verdict. TV-14
Just from reading that alone, it appears as though Law & Order is really looking to try and create something that feels similar, but still unique, from what we have seen before. This means trying to create a few character plots, but at the same time also working to create cases that are either ripped from the headlines or something similar to it.
There are a number of episodes airing over the next several months — with that, there should be plenty of chances to see Ajala shine.
