Only Murders in the Building season 6: Is Steve Martin on board?
At the time of this writing, there is no word on an Only Murders in the Building season 6 renewal over at Hulu. With that being said, is the cast on board?
Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Steve Martin had the following to say about what the cast / executive producers even know regarding the next chapter:
We do not know. We get asked, ‘How long do you guys want to do this?’ And I just go, ‘Well, you tell us?’ … We like doing it and it’s a wonderful job for us. We couldn’t say, ‘Well, let’s just do something else,’ and it be a situation that’s not as fun…

Martin Short also chimes in during the interview, noting how rare it is that you are able to find a hit of this magnitude. Our general feeling is that the show could make it to seven seasons and that would be a thrill. Are we worried that eventually, the show is going to run out of creative steam? Maybe but at the same time, this is the sort of show that has so much talent all over the place. Every season they are able to bring more and more guest stars into the mix.
Just remember for a minute here that Only Murders in the Building season 5 is going to be premiering next week, with the focus here being on the iconic doorman Lester. Who killed him? Was it really an accident? That was suggested in the trailer but as of this writing, we have a really hard time buying into that. Since when is this show only accidents in the building? There was enough of that back in season 3…
