‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Desiree Hartsock, Brooks Forester take soccer very seriously

SoccerWhat’s a better date than playing competitive soccer against someone you have feelings for? We can think of a few thousand other things, but then again, we’re also not the sort of person that this sort of activity is really catering to. Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelorette” is going to revolve around Desiree Hartsock and her remaining guys spending time in Spain, which to us really just means one thing above all else: Listening to everyone speak Spanish poorly. (With that being said, Juan Pablo will probably continue to be rather amazing at it.)

As for the inclusion of soccer, it is the subject of the group date, where the guys have to band together to play Desiree and a team of who we guess are strong female players in the area. Basically, the objectives of this date from a performance standpoint seem to be twofold:

1. Show major girl power in having some really talented girls beat down on some athletic guys.

2. Make the guys look like total putzes, since it’s pretty well impossible that all of them are some sort of soccer pros. (Once again, though, you cannot dismiss the Juan Pablo factor, since he brought a soccer ball with him to play the first night.)

Our photo here is of Desiree “practicing” for the game with Brooks Forester, which to us is a pretty dead giveaway that these two are clearly into each other more so than the game they are about to play. Does this make Brooks the automatic winner regardless? Guy has to be riding high, given that he did just receive a group rose date this past week, and he’s a favorite to get one here again (let alone win this whole stinkin’ competition).

Now, we turn from the good to the bad. We have an interesting case now to present when it comes to James Case’s supposed claims that he’s out to be the next “Bachelor,” and you can check them out over at the link here.
