‘Downton Abbey’ season 4 spoilers: Elizabeth McGovern on comfort, life without Matthew
Ready for some more Elizabeth McGovern goodness? We hope so. The actress is still in the thick of filming for “Downton Abbey” season 4, but somehow she managed get some time to stop by Young Hollywood and talk about more than just her television role. There’s also some music conversation thrown in here for good measure!
As you may or may not know, McGovern is the lead singer of a band known as Sadie and the Hotheads, and she explains the video stems from her love of songwriting. If you have never heard much of the actress’ music, consider this video to be a lovely starting-off point. Everyone has to begin somewhere, right?
As for what McGovern is up to on that famous Highclere Castle set, she of course could not say too much; however, she did talk briefly about the devastation that came from losing both Sybil and Matthew in the same season … a move that caused some people to think that this show was turning into either “24” or something produced by Shonda Rhimes (who, to be fair, killed off Lexie for reasons that were not just about the story).
The nice news that came in here is that at this point, going to set for McGovern seems to be almost akin to going back and spending some time with your family. Lovely, right? Check out the quote:
“I think we just have that feeling that [this is something] that we have done for a really long time, so there is a nice feeling of trust amongst the cast.”
Is this video not enough for you? “Downton Abbey” is a highly addictive show, and we want to be here to keep giving you the latest … including some comments from Julian Fellowes about Diddy that are being blown up to almost hilarious proportions.
