‘Anger Management’ spoilers: Charlie Sheen brings back Brian Austin Green for good

Anger ManagementRemember all of the news that Charlie Sheen’s FX series “Anger Management” was going to be going through some major creative retooling? This is the understatement of the year, given that the show has already lost Selma Blair following a nasty series of incidents with Sheen, and this is already after Charlie got his dad Martin to come on board as his father.

The latest change, per Deadline, has solely to do with bringing back an actor who has done a little bit of everything over the years: Brian Austin Green. The man previously had a three-episode arc on the show as Sean, the new boyfriend for Shawnee Smith’s character of Jen. The reason for the permanent inclusion seems to be because the show wants to see Charlie Goodson actually have it out with someone in front of the camera for a change, and this is a male foil that will challenge him. He’s not senile like his dad, or in need of his help like most of his clients.

In case you’re wondering, the show has not yet finished their casting for the “lucky” soul who will be Charlie’s new possible love interest, since Blair’s Kate is out of the picture. It will be interesting first of all to see how they end up writing that character out, given that we were one of the many people who believed at one point that those two characters were most likely endgame with each other.

Hopefully, this move will work out for the show. The reason that “Two and a Half Men” was so great for so long was thanks to Sheen’s chemistry with Jon Cryer, and that is something he is still working to figure out here with the “Anger Management” crew.
