‘Big Brother 15’ houseguest spotlight: Andy Herren

AndyAs we open the door on another season of “Big Brother,” we have to start with a confession about Andy Herren: He’s a guy that is incredibly easy to root for, and not just because he said to Jeff Schroeder’s face in the CBS video that he would vote him out in the house. This is a guy that just seems to have a great deal of all of the necessary things going for him in order to not only get far, but potentially win this game: He’s smart, likable, and he understands the game pretty well. Plus, he’s also not making an effort to be over-the-top or play a character.

There are still some questions that we have when it comes to Andy’s game, and these are hopefully things that we will address further below. Of course, we also want to hear what you think are Andy’s chances courtesy of our poll, and you can read even more news about this season (including other spotlight articles including our exclusive interview with Rachel Reilly) at the link here.

Name – Andy Herren

Age – 26

Location – Chicago, Illinois

Occupation – Professor

Personality traits – Outgoing, funny, intelligent, and above all completely confident in the person that he is. Andy’s not a dangerous player when it comes to winning challenges, but he could be one of the biggest social threats in the house when it comes to the way in which he makes alliances and bonds with other people.

Strengths – For sure, Andy is helped by how social he is, and a public speaking professor is someone poised to do pretty well in this game thanks to their ability to persuade others and make solid arguments. He also has an understanding, if this makes sense, of just what he is getting into this season.

Weaknesses – Probably the biggest one is simply that Andy is probably not going to be a physical player, and he will need to rely on other things. The other issue is that people will really like him and after seeing people like Jordan sail to the end on a raft made of smiles and friends, he could be deemed as a threat.

Early prediction – Andy’s going to need to make sure that he comes across as someone who is an asset early. We could genuinely see him becoming one of the biggest strategists in this game, but it is all going to depend on how he plays. The first few days will really make the difference between him being out the second or third week, or going all the way to the end.
