QVC evaluating Paula Deen situation, hasn’t gone the way of Food Network yet

QVCWe would say that Paula Deen is waiting for the other shoe to drop when it comes to the fallout from her n-word / botched-apology controversy, but so many shoes have dropped already, we’re assuming that the person who is dropping all of these shoes at this point is secretly a centipede. She’s already lost her three Food Network shows, a number of fans, and her “MasterChef” appearance (which was filmed months ago) is now in question.

So what about her relationship with QVC? Deen commonly sells kitchen equipment on the shopping channel, but their rep tells TMZ that there are no plans for her to appear in the future, and they are waiting to make a full decision as to if she will be invited back:

“Please know that QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior … We are closely monitoring these events and we are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen.  In the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC.”

Basically, it appears that the network is taking a wait-and-see approach to events featuring Deen in the near future. This entire scandal has unfolded within the span of a week, and much of it stems from a revelation that she has used racial slurs in the past, which was a part of a deposition that she gave concerning one of her restaurants in the south. She has for a long time made a living off of food that is heavy in lard, butter, and cream, with many nutritionists blasting her for advocating unhealthy cuisine.

Despite all of this negative press, Deen did issue a statement on Saturday thanking the Food Network for over a decade of memories. You can read that over at the link here.
