‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Fifth Harmony goes acoustic; Kelly Rowland, Cher Lloyd

LylasLet’s kick off this edition of “The X Factor” notes with something that all fans of Fifth Harmony have to be rather thrilled to see: A brand-new, exciting, and acoustic version of their lead single “Miss Movin’ On.” It’s the perfect opportunity to see just who sings every line in the track, and also to see what the song sounds like with most of the backing music stripped away.

In conclusion, it’s pretty great. The video comes to us courtesy of 102.7 KIIS FM, which to us is pretty significant in that the ladies are already starting to make some headway in radio. They are the people that will help determine their longevity as artists, so these are the people that Normani, Ally, Camila, Dinah, and Lauren are going to need to impress if they want to have a lengthy career in this business. This song still has some great radio potential, so it will be interesting to watch it in the weeks and even months ahead.

Cher Lloyd teases next album – It’s been a little while now since Cher Lloyd burst onto the scene following her time on the British show back in 2010, and she released her debut album the following year. So when will we get a chance to hear more? The answer seems to be “soon.” Speaking to Idolator, the “Want U Back” singer suggested that we are mostly waiting now on finding the perfect date to see the disc in stores:

“I am trying to make these lovely people wearing suits bring it out quicker just because I owe it to the fans. They have been waiting very patiently, and I feel I’ve worked really, really hard on this one — not that I didn’t work hard on the last one, but I’ve been a lot more involved. Hopefully I’m looking at September. So that’s pretty soon.”

Finally, some Kelly Rowland fun – Want to see what Kelly has to say about being a part of Destiny’s Child? The latest judge on the American show dished on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” including saying how Beyonce was a sloppy person to be around.

We’re glad that we just have some positive news to share today, following the rather sad reports that came out yesterday about one of Kelly’s fellow “X Factor” judges in Demi Lovato losing her father Patrick. We’re sending her our best.
