‘Glee’ season 5 notes: Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Matthew Morrison

What are some of your favorite “Glee” stars up to this afternoon? While some of them are still overseas (namely in the United Kingdom), others are starting to make their way back to Los Angeles in order to prepare for next month, which marks the beginning of production of season 5.

Take, for example, Darren Criss, who is going to be back in Los Angeles tonight (albeit rather briefly) to take part in a Hollywood Bowl performance which includes a number of legends, including Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith along with John Legend. You can find out some more details here, but this should be nice for him to be out in front of the folks in Los Angeles, which is where he has called home following his time at the University of Michigan. (In addition to touring, Criss also made a brief stop over in Paris recently.)

Chris Colfer – As for Darren’s on screen love interest, Chris recently took part in a massive press junket overseas for The Land of Stories, his book that has helped to launch his career as an author. You can check out one fun interview he did with Sugarscape below, where he does his best to explain the process for creating this book and also opens up about the literary pursuits of some of his co-stars. (For all of you “Harry Potter” fans, this topic of conversation is also not ignored.)

Matthew Morrison – In the video below, you can check out a behind-the-scenes look at Matthew Morrison’s new album “Where It All Began,” which is now available on iTunes. This album is a compilation of what are Morrison’s bread and butter in standards and famous songs from the Broadway stage.
