‘Big Brother 15’ houseguest spotlight: Elissa Slater (a.k.a. Rachel Reilly’s sister)

ElissaAt this point, you surely know that Rachel Reilly’s sister Elissa Slater is going to be a part of “Big Brother 15.” We even talked to Rachel about it in an interview on Thursday. She is a contestant who has already drawn plenty of interest, and thanks to who she is related to, and the odds are probably in her favor to be the first “Big Brother MVP” based on the public’s vote.

But is Elissa actually going to be a good player in her own right? This is probably the hardest question to answer, mostly because so much of her game will depend on what the other contestants feel about her being in the house, and also about Rachel. If they aren’t willing to give her a chance, she could be a great player in theory who gets sent home early. Since it’s hard to know the answer to that right now, why not share your thoughts in the poll at the bottom of this article?

Name – Elissa Slater

Age – 27

Location – Kannapolis

Job – Nutritionist (good luck with that slop diet)

Personality traits – Outgoing, funny, and and seemingly competitive. She clearly is going to go into the game with a strategic advantage; unlike the other players, she has been able to sit down and really pick the brain of a former winner in her sister, and she claims to possess great listening skills.

Strengths – Easily, going into this season with more knowledge is an asset. So is being competitive, and looking to take your fate into your own hands. If she’s anything like Rachel, we expect her to have a killer instinct, and she could even benefit from the idea that “nobody’s going to vote for Rachel’s sister to win the game.” We also actually think being married is an asset, since she doesn’t get her heart involved in a showmance putting an extra target on her back.

Weaknesses – The biggest one is simply that it’s impossible for her to hide who she really is, and that makes her a giant target. She also does have a disadvantage in the game as a mom; while it gives her motivation to fight hard, this could be a distraction when it comes to staying focused.

Early prediction – Elissa has an interesting idea to try and form an all-female alliance that could be the new Brigade, and this could actually work if the women here are different than the ones on “Big Brother Canada,” and don’t just want to hook up with a guy and hang with them all season. We think that she’ll win the first MVP, but a couple of weeks into the game is where she will probably be in deep trouble unless she wins a ton of challenges.
