‘Royal Pains’ season 5, episode 2 preview: Hank’s impromptu exam

Royal PainsIs there still something wrong with HankMed’s lead doctor following the explosion at the end of “Royal Pains” last season? Right now, the series is being very smart when it comes to how they play their card. They are not revealing too much in the way of information, at least outside of showing you tiny suggestions here and there that something is not altogether right in Hank’s world.

The latest example of this comes via the video peek below, where you see Hank at first try to refuse a blood test from Dr. Sacani, who will not allow him to drive until one is administered. Are we witnessing Hank just being impatient, or trying to hide something? Both are interesting possibilities, given that we’ve been slightly nervous ever since he received a new prescription at the end of the premiere.

Don’t expect much more in the way of discussion on this subject this week, as there are a number of other stories that are pressing that will need to be addressed. While there’s still no explanation as to why in the world Sacani is not going to shave off the manly beard in the Hamptons heat, there is a lovely moment near the end of the episode that should make fans of the character happy. Be on the lookout for it, as well as a separate story about Evan that will make you (at least for a few seconds) believe that you are watching a completely different show in “American Horror Story.”

What do you think is going to happen with Hank this season? If you want to check out some more scoop on the future of HankMed the establishment, you can do so over at the link here.
