‘The Newsroom’ season 2 trailer: The Tea Party, Occupy Wall Street invade ACN
While many things are going to change on “The Newsroom” season 2 when it comes to some of these characters, there are also going to be a number of other things that will very much stay the same. For one, there will be more romance, current events, and a network in ACN trying to maintain the balance between news and opinion.
Oh, and there’s also going to be an arrest, someone heading out to the field in order to escape a possible romance, and a hearing in order to deal with what happened with Will McAvoy calling out the tea party last year.
The second season, based on this new trailer, does look very promising from the standpoint of what it is hoping to accomplish. There is quite a bit of story that needs to be covered here just from the standpoint of headlines, whether it be Occupy Wall Street, the 2012 Presidential Election, or some international affairs. The only thing that may be more fascinating than the stories to us are the way in which the show manages to combine this with the world of TV production.
We admit right now that we are probably more excited about this season of “The Newsroom” than most, given that we did place the first season among one of our favorite dramas of the year in our Emmy preview article. The only thing we really hope to see different is a more empowered and less flighty Mackenzie, and for there to be a little less in the world of Bigfoot (even if that was just one episode).
