‘Burn Notice’ season 7, episode 2 preview: First look at the 100th episode

Next week, “Burn Notice” is going to be back with its 100th episode, and it looks already like this is going to be way larger in scope than what you would traditionally expect to see from the second episode of the season. The milestone really accounts for most of that, though you also have to blame in part the fact that this is the show’s final season, and pretty much the rest of the way there are not going to be many episodes that actually provide much of an opportunity to breathe.

So what is going to happen here? The best way to describe it is as follows: Michael is going to be heading back to Miami, but his whole order to stay away from all of his loved ones is not going to work out exactly as planned. These people who are hunting him down in the city will use Fiona as an attempt to get to him, and he and Sam are definitely going to reunite under some rather terrible circumstances. Therefore, don’t expect many mojitos at the local bar.

So will Michael find a way to stay in town once all of this is over? We sure hope so, mostly because the series would not be altogether exciting leading up to the finale if our leading man remains in a separate country from everyone else on the show. Also, here’s to hoping that he eventually also gets a chance to shave off that beard, since that’s really not the look that any of us are going to remember Jeffrey Donovan for on this show.
