‘Suburgatory’ season 3 spoilers: Alan Tudyk, Rex Lee exiting as series regulars

SuburgatoryThere are some major changes coming when it comes to “Suburgatory” for its third season. For one, we don’t know whether or not it is going to appear on the fall schedule; and now, we have some more news regarding some pretty major departures among the cast.

Sources have confirmed that both Alan Tudyk and Rex Lee, who have both been series regulars on the show since at least the second season, are both exiting prior to the start of production. There’s no definite reason given as for the shake-up, but two possible (and common factors) include a major creative change or budgetary concerns.

For now, we have to say that this news makes us rather bummed, mostly because these two guys are comedy veterans with great careers behind them already. Plus, we were also huge fans of Lloyd on “Entourage,” so we want to root for him at just about every turn.

We’ve always found “Suburgatory” to be one of the more underrated as to the ABC family-oriented comedies out there, but for whatever reason the show struggled at times in the ratings this past year (at least compared to some of the giants). One of the major reasons behind it was simply the constant schedule shifts, which had the show going from one part of the night to the other. Plus, it would go weeks without being on the schedule before suddenly coming back and airing more. (Confusing? Definitely, and it could get worse this year depending on where the show is scheduled.)
