‘America’s Got Talent’ preview: Nick Cannon, Howard Stern star in new trailer

In just one week’s time, “America’s Got Talent” is going to return to NBC for all-new episodes. So what better way is there to celebrate than to release a brand-new trailer showcasing the sort of madness that supposedly happens behind the scenes at the show?

This extended clip first appeared last night during “The Voice” results show, and it makes it very clear that to the producers of the NBC series, Nick Cannon is really the star that they want to highlight. While both Howard Stern and a very revealing Howie Mandel each make cameos in the video, it is the host that is featured for the vast majority of the promo. What is somewhat surprising is that neither Heidi Klum nor Mel B, who are both new to the show, managed to show up in the promo despite being on the judging panel. Our guess is that this was either filmed before they were cast, or that they just weren’t able to fit it into their schedule.

Either way, next week should be an interesting one just from the standpoint of seeing how well the entire group gets along. We also do love how when it comes to this particular group, we truly do have a panel yet again of international stars: There is a Canadian comedian, a British performer, and a German model all showing how to live the American dream. Now, let’s just hope that the actual talent is something that we want to dream about this year, as it has been really lacking on most of these talent shows lately.
