‘America’s Got Talent’: Howard Stern to sit down with Katie Couric before premiere
On Tuesday, June 4, “America’s Got Talent” is going to return to NBC with all-new episodes. Before we come to that, though, one of the judges is going to have an hour of TV time in order to speak his mind, which, as any fan of his show would know, is a little bit different than listening to his radio show.
On Tuesday, May 28, exactly one week before the new season’s premiere, Howard Stern is going to sit down with Katie Couric for an hour-long special on her daytime talk show in which a wide variety of topics will be discussed, whether it be Howard’s career, the competition show, or his personal life. Based on the press release that was sent out about the episode, we’re also going to have an opportunity to see Howard turn the tables on Katie, asking her a few questions that will leave her at a loss for words.
Just to make this episode all the more Stern-centric, the audience is going to be built up of diehard Stern listeners, and his wife Beth is also going to be turning up at some point. Basically, this entire hour will be paradise for you if you love all things Howard; meanwhile, you probably will want to find something else to watch if you can’t stand the man.
We’re hoping for great things from “America’s Got Talent” this summer, mostly because last year was a mixed bag. Howard did pretty well as a new judge, but the issue is that there wasn’t a single act that we can sit here and say changed the course of entertainment. Save for Terry Fator, there hasn’t been a single winner of this show to go on and make a huge name for themselves.
