The Voice 24 results: Who was eliminated before finale?
There is one crazy thing to say entering to tonight’s The Voice 24 episode — how many people are leaving the show! Nine performers came into the show tonight and yet, only five will be making it to the finale. This live-show structure is one of the bigger flaws that the singing-show has, and also a reminder that it is really hard for the contestants to succeed here the vast majority of the time. You effectively only have three live performances to win over the country, and that is not a long period of time.
Entering tonight’s results show, there were only two assumptions that we could make. First and foremost, that the country vote would come through for a lot of those artists again. Also, that Lila Forde had a good chance of advancing after she closed the night. We do still think that Huntley is the likely favorite to win right now, but we also wouldn’t stake some enormous amount of money on it happening. There is still a lot of unpredictability about all of this show in general, and there are people who may vote for the coaches just as much as they do some of the contestants. It is a reality that comes with being a part of this series.
One person is going to be given the green light thanks to the instant save, so that means that there are going to be some performances you get to see tonight!
(Of course, let’s just hope these performances matter, since we think the person who was the best by far on the results-show last week did not get a chance to advance.)
So, who advanced?
Lila Forde, Huntley, Ruby Leigh, and Mara Justine were the four people who moved through directly to the next round. Meanwhile, Jacquie Roar, Nini Iris, Mac Royals, Bias and Jordan Rainer had to compete for the Instant Save.
Jacquie was safe … and Mac is now gone. That’s the biggest shocker we have.
