Chicago Med season 9 premiere date: Any good news soon?

We know that with each passing day, we are getting closer and closer to a Chicago Med season 9 premiering on NBC. With that in mind, is there anything more that we can share on when it will actually be happening?

In the end, this is where things do start to get a little bit murky here, all things considered. The good news is that today, there are some conversations happening between the actors of SAG-AFTRA and the streamers / studios of the AMPTP to try and end the strike. The delay in production so far has been more to the WGA strike this summer than what is currently happening with the actors, but that could change over the next few weeks. These performers, just like the writers, deserve a fair deal. Until that happens, nothing is altogether assured.

The next few weeks are going to be pretty essential for not just the future of Chicago Med, but also the future of much of the network TV season. Based on when the WGA strike was over, we got a good sense that the broadcast networks were hoping to have 13-episode seasons of most of their major hits. If that happened, then there was a chance that they could tell stories that at least felt reasonably normal. It’s going to take a quick end to the actors’ strike to achieve this. Otherwise, we could not get a January premiere for any show within the Chicago franchise. It could end up being February or even March.

If there is one message that we would like to pass along right now, it is pretty simple: Just pay the actors what they deserve! We have never felt that any of their requests are altogether outrageous.
