The Challenge USA season 2 finale: Who won?
Entering The Challenge USA season 2 finale, we 100% anticipated one of the most eventful finals we’ve seen in some time. After all, there were eight great contestants left and honestly, the bar was pretty low here after the absolute disaster of a final we had last year on CBS.
So here were the contestants as we prepared for the fray: Bananas, Cory, Fessy, and Chris for the guys, and then Desi, Chanelle, Michaela, and Tori for the women. There are a lot of people in here with experience in the franchise, but then also some newbies, as well. The biggest thing here is that there are a lot of super athletic people in here, so there wasn’t all that much to worry about when it comes to everyone quitting … right?

More so than rooting for any one particular winner, our hope is that we would just see something that feels different from what we have had in the past. We have seen so many of these through various iterations of the finale; it can be easy for a lot of them to blend together in the end.
So what happened over the finale?
The contestants were faced with a lot of grueling tasks but, in general, we don’t think this is as hardcore as what we see on the MTV version. (Maybe they were afraid of a repeat of what happened last summer.) Still, we do appreciate that things were at least competitive for a good portion of this, as that did add to the drama in a nice way.
In the end, Chris and Desi are the champs! They both hard and easily deserved the victory. Desi was really strong all season both socially and physically, while Chris had that great underdog story stemming from being in danger so often.
