‘The Walking Dead’ season 4: Who wants to see a movie at some point?

The Walking DeadTypically, shows wait until the end of their run before some people start to talk about ideas for a movie, however, there are also not too many shows out there that are like “The Walking Dead.” It is the highest-rated series anywhere on television in the 18-49 demographic, has an enormous comic-book empire behind it already, and some of the stars are being sought after in all sorts of ways for other projects.

One person who is already talking about a potential feature film? Star Chad Coleman. In a chat with MTV Geek, the man had the following to say about the idea of seeing some of these characters end up on the big screen:

“As far as a Walking Dead movie is concerned, I think it should happen. I think it would be amazing, I think it would catch on like wildfire, I think everybody would love that.

“I really think a Walking Dead movie is going to be in the works not too far down the road, and I think it’s going to take [fans] by storm.”

From a personal standpoint, we always have apprehension anytime that a TV show turns into a movie, mostly because the form is suddenly messed with to go along with the production values. Coleman is right that it would probably make enough money to turn executives into cash-zombies, but would it really be worth it? We prefer shows to stay in the medium up until the very end, and if people want to check it out in a cinematic way, buy a projection screen, get a few theater chairs, and enjoy.
