Quantum Leap season 2 episode 3 spoilers: Eliza Taylor’s debut

Quantum Leap season 2

As we prepare ourselves in order to see Quantum Leap season 2 episode 3 on NBC this Wednesday, there are a couple of big things to note.

Take, for starters, the fact that “Closure Encounters” is going to be the long-awaited alien-themed episode that we’ve seen referenced in some trailers and previews so far. Also, this is going to be the debut episode for The 100 alum Eliza Taylor as Hannah Carson.

As of right now, this may be one of the most interesting and mysterious people within the whole show. Why? Well, the full Quantum Leap season 2 episode 3 synopsis gives you a better sense of that:

10/18/2023 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Now a government agent, Ben investigates unexplained extraterrestrial activity. After a mysterious incident in New Mexico, two young girls’ lives are on the line. Ben meets Hannah Carson (Eliza Taylor joining the cast), who may be more than she appears. TV-PG

So what makes Hannah immediately interesting is that she’s seemingly tied more to Ben than the rest of the team — is that because he is meeting her in-person? That remains to be seen, but we do think that there is something more to the idea of there being either other leapers or time-travelers out there. Or, at the very least, more characters to complicate this story. It would be nice for Ben at some point to have someone else to relate to, given that much of his journey has to be physically and emotionally exhausting. He never stays in one place for long, and rarely is he ever in a situation where he gets a chance to actually be himself.

We already know that in the show’s primary timeline, things are very-much different. The Quantum Leap project has been closed for a good year, and Addison has also moved on. What does all of this mean?
