When Calls the Heart season 10 finale: Nathan’s love life…
We’ve spent a good bit of time talking about the story in relation to Elizabeth as of late so, for the sake of this article, let’s try to pivot for a moment and focus in on Nathan. This is clearly someone who has a lot of great stories of his own to tell, and we’re excited to see what is being planned leading into season 11.
In particular, we mean this romantically as we wonder whether or not we’re going to be able to get some closure on his love life. At this point, Kevin McGarry’s character is starting to question whether or not he is really lovable, and we know that this is a pretty emotional story and something a lot of people go through. Things with Mei didn’t work for some reason we’re still trying to understand. Meanwhile, the same here could be said for Faith; apparently, it seems like the latter relationship is better as a friendship. We know that there’s been a lot of speculation that something may be brewing with him and Erin Krakow’s character, but we think her emotional reaction to Nathan’s life-or-death situation was due more to her grief about Jack.
Here is the biggest thing we want for Nathan in the finale: A recognition that he is worthy of love and that he will find the right person. From there, maybe someone new will arrive in season 11 — or, a possibility from the past will open back up.
The most important thing to remember at present is simply that When Calls the Heart is a show that does love its love stories and endless optimism; while they may make you wait for some things, we absolutely believe the writers want to see Nathan happy. It is really just a matter of time for that.
