America’s Got Talent: Sangsoon Kim rocks live show with magic
After all, remember this: Magicians don’t often get such prime placement on these shows, and it helped to guarantee that everyone out there was going to remember him. His original audition was incredibly creative, so of course we hoped for something similar here.
So is that what we actually got at the end of the day here? Like the first audition, we got a performance here that was very clever, visual, and fun in nature. Rather than having a lot of interaction with the judges, this was a pretty carefully conducted series of tricks. We do think that there were some really great aspects of it, but there are still some fair questions to wonder here. Take, for starters, whether this was almost too small in scale for a show like this at the end of the day. He’s no doubt a great magician, but this particular performance almost works better in a smaller venue in a way that does not feel as cavernous as what we got here.
Granted, we will say with all the confidence in the world that we’d go and seen Sangsoon perform somewhere, mostly because we know that this is the sort of magician who could easily sell out a venue.
Of course, we recognize that the ability of Kim to move forward will depend on the audience response, and there are only two people who are advancing here in the end. Sure, we do recognize that there could be a wild card on the line, but do you ever want to guarantee and bank on that?
What did you think about the performance from Sangsoon Kim on America’s Got Talent at the end of the show?
