America’s Got Talent results show #3: Who advanced to finale?
Were there some great performances last night? Absolutely, but we didn’t necessarily think that there were two that would totally be locked in as the ones moving forward into the next round. We’re still admittedly frustrated that there is no semifinal round with this show anymore, mostly because the remainder of these contenders are going to now have to depend on a wild-card selection from one of the judges — and even then, only one of those will get the votes needed to survive.
In the end, let’s just see what America decides tonight — and/or get mad at them after the fact. After all, isn’t that what we tend to do every single week here?
Also, a quick reminder that not advancing means that you are set for failure for the rest of your life — there are so many acts over the years who have become globally successful despite being eliminated early.
Now, the results
Well, let’s start here with the top 5: Putri Ariani (no surprise), MOS, and Mzansi Youth Choir were the first acts declared as a part of it. They were later joined by Philip Bowen and Warrior Squad.
Personally, we tend to think that Putri and Warrior Squad were head and shoulders better than any other act last night; however, America does not always tend to have the same taste that we do.
The top Three – Mzansi, Warrior Squad, and Putri made it here — so far, really good choices even if we like the originality of MOS. Where the country got it wrong here was not putting through Warrior Squad, as Mzansi advanced alongside Putri much to our surprise.
What do you think about the results on tonight’s America’s Got Talent episode?
