‘Girls’ season 3 spoilers: Meet a new face

“Girls” is not a particularly easy show to find out many details about during production, and for one simple reason: Lena Dunham, like many other people within the world of premium cable, prefers to keep things hush-hush rather than disclose many of her secrets.

However, we do know now that a new face is going to be spending a little time with at least one of our series regulars on the upcoming season. According to a report from E! News, the show is getting ready to introduce to us the character of Jesse, who is a 26-year old man who works for a men’s magazine. While the character is described as being both smart and funny, there is also one other troubling adjective that he has next to his name: unmotivated. Could it take someone like Hannah, Shoshanna, or Marnie to kick him in the pants? Maybe.

Rumor has it that Hannah is also set to receive some sort of writing job on the upcoming season, which is certainly very much good news. If you remember from last year, most of her career accomplishments (if you can call them that) were overshadowed by her falling apart and having a bout of OCD just as she was nearing the deadline for an e-book that she was trying to work on.

Thus far, the only significant casting-related news for the season is that Christopher Abbott (Charlie) has left the show following creative differences with Dunham. There are going to be some more guest stars coming up,
