‘The Following’ season 2 spoilers: Who’s set to have a larger role?
The good thing at the end of “The Following” finale Monday night for Ryan Hardy was that Joe Carroll seemingly died (with the emphasis there on the word “seemingly”). The bad news? That there is still at least one other potential threat out there in the world for him to deal with.
According to a new report from TV Guide, a certain someone known as Emma is set to have an even larger role in the upcoming second season, at least according to show executive producer Marcos Diega. Not only that, but Mike Weston will also have a larger role in fighting for another side, otherwise known as the people we really want to root for.
Both of these moves ultimately make quite a bit of sense, especially when you consider the simple fact that both of their superiors in some ways (and for sure Parker) have died on the show. This frees them up to have a significantly larger amount of screen time, and for us as viewers, this is a great opportunity to see even more development after what was a strong first season from this standpoint.
There is no information about new cast members for “The Following” season 2, or when the show is going to be coming back with new episodes. Ultimately, the latter will be unveiled more than likely during the Fox network upfront presentation, which is going to take place later this month.
Are you excited to see these two characters in particular have a larger role on the show moving forward? If you do want to read some more scoop related to whether or not Joe could return, you can do so over at the link here.

Sooooo happy Weston is getting a larger role, he’s one of the best characters and in just one season had so much development and change, but in the end we were still able to the good guy side of him.
