‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11: Was Miley Cyrus considered for larger gig?

Miley CyrusSo what does it cost in order to keep “Two and a Half Men” on the air? Think somewhere close to $1.32 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this is the hefty price tag that the show has to pay just in order to keep two of the stars around in Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer.

While Kutcher is reportedly staying firm at his salary of $700,000 an episode (which makes him the highest-paid sitcom actor on TV), Cryer’s salary (since his Primetime Emmy win for Actor in a Comedy Series) has gone up to $620,000 an episode. These two guys make up the lion’s share of the budget for the show, and even with Angus T. Jones being downgraded to just a recurring star on the upcoming eleventh season, the network and studio Warner Bros. are looking for other ways to cut costs.

So what does this mean? Nixing other possible plans. Producers are looking for an actress to come on board the show for a larger role, and while Miley Cyrus was considered for her role of Missi (who appeared in two episodes this past year), scheduling it and paying her salary proved to be much too difficult a task. We’re sure that producers would also love to have Kate back, but Brooke D’Orsay already has a series regular gig on USA’s “Royal Pains.” Meanwhile, there’s just not any real story left to tell with Lyndsey, who recently broke up with Alan.

As for whether or not we are nearing the final season of “Two and a Half Men,” that is still very much to be seen. The show was believed to be ending for some time with season 10, but the ratings following “The Big Bang Theory” changed that.
