‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: Peter, Will, and the votes

The Good WifeIn the world of politics, many secrets do not stay buried for very long. Therefore, there has to be a reason for Peter to sweat things out moving forward into “The Good Wife” season 5. After all, there was vote-tampering that went on when it comes to his election, and while it did not change things or help him emerge victorious, you do still have to believe that it is something that will wreck him if it ever gets out in the public.

Luckily, there are only two people who know what really happened in Peter and Will, and there is no guarantee that either one of them will ever do or say anything. With that being said, series star Josh Charles claims (per TVLine) that this is still going to create a very interesting back-and-forth between the two characters moving forward:

“[The secret] adds a really neat dynamic … It’s now something that lives between them. Whether that becomes something that’s explored literally — or it’s just there sort of hanging in the air – will remain to be seen.”

The beauty of this show comes with the fact that the secret may never really come out, and the storytelling could nonetheless be just as interesting. After all, there are still plenty of other great stories to explore here, in between Peter and Alicia’s relationship changing thanks to her decision to leave the firm, and questions as to what Peter’s new job as Governor will really do to change his life.
