‘America’s Got Talent’ 2013: First promo with Heidi Klum, Mel B as judges
After what was an off season when it comes to the ratings, “America’s Got Talent” will be back on Tuesday, June 4 with the hope of restoring the series to its former glory. We have some familiar faces in host Nick Cannon and judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel, but we also have some new ones to go along with it. Former Spice Girl Mel B is on board here after spending some time judging on Australian TV, whereas model / “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum has also signed on in what has to be the surprise casting choice of the year.
Based on the first promo for the new season below, though, it does not appear as though the new judges are going to be changing the show much at all. We are still going to have the same sort of silliness, the same good performers, and the same utterances of the judges saying various superlatives. Even Mel, who was notoriously awful to some of the contestants on the British version of “The X Factor” this past season, finds it within her heart to say a few nice things to some of the hopefuls.
Personally, we’ve found watching this show to be a mixed bag over the years. There were times in 2012 where we missed Piers Morgan, even if Howard is certainly entertaining in his own right. Not only that, but the talent level was also fairly questionable, and we had yet another winner that we have literally not seen a single thing from they were on the show last in Olate Dogs. So far, Terry Fator is really the only winner to make a splash, and you may not all too familiar with him unless you know the Las Vegas scene.

Let me get this right. Heidi Klum as a judge?In My opinion she is person with no integrity, no morals, selfish, self- center – judging others? She was pregnant and married and fell for Seal. She left him and married Seal. Had more children. Than she left Seal for someone else- the bodyguard/- and left him heartbroken thinking both times of herself and not her children’s feelings/ Is this the person we have judging others? You just lost many many viewers. In my opinion America’s got talent just went downhill the same as Nicki and Mariah bickering.. Maybe Heidi is so into herself she doesn’t see the truth. Sad. What money and fame will do to a person.
I hope Seal and her other husband found true happiness, Heidi leaves on a whim without regret. Look how happy she is while perhaps her ex’s and perhaps children are suffering inside? And Apparently she doesn’t care. Seal should have been chosen as a judge. He has the talent. Why her?
