‘Big Brother Canada’ spoilers and speculation: Where we go from now until finale
Since there are going to be a few things that are a little bit different about the “Big Brother Canada” finale happening this week, we thought it best to give you a few more details about what is already out there.
First of all, Wednesday night’s new episode will in some ways be according to plan. The Power of Veto Competition will happen, just as it has every Wednesday, and there is also a Veto Ceremony. However, there is no word for sure as to if there will be an eviction that happens on this show, or if it will be saved until Thursday night. (For those of you who have read our live-feed updates, you know already who is likely to be leaving the house.)
Meanwhile, Thursday night’s finale will be a two-hour affair beginning at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and there will be a three-part final Head of Household Competition like there is with the American show. We wondered if there would be any changes to the endgame for Canada, but that appears to not be the case. Slice confirmed that there will not be an audience for Wednesday’s show, so it would make some sense to evict both the fourth and third-place finishers in one night so they can receive the customary love from the audience. We’ve said it before, but we feel the need to stress it again: We’ll be at the finale! This means that we’ll do our best to get interviews straight from the backyard after the show, and we also have a couple of in-depth chats that we’re planning to have with some of the houseguests on Friday.
As for the future of the show, Slice has yet to renew the show for a second season, and while we’re optimistic, it is hard to say what their thinking is. From one standpoint, this delivered some of the best numbers in the network’s history. However, we imagine that this has to be a somewhat costly endeavor. Stay tuned.

Like Big Brother, I bet they’ll announce the renewal on Thursday. It might be a costly endeavor, but the show is insanely popular for Canadian TV. It would be ludicrous if they canned the show after one season — unless Shaw considers moving Big Brother Canada to global for season 2.
