ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5, episode 22 preview: A deeper look into ‘Still’

We’ll start out this “Castle” season 5 article with a debate over numbers. We’re aware that some folks out there want to refer to “Still” as episode 21, since this is when it was originally planned to air on TV. However, we’re going to refer to it as episode 22 here mostly for the sake of not making things confusing, and this is the order in which it is airing in its home country.

Now, let’s dive into what viewers in North America (who have not had a chance to see the episode just yet) can expect. The story is pretty simple, as Beckett finds herself trapped on a bomb plate upon investigating a suspect’s home, and just one tiny move will cause the bomb to detonate. With that in mind, Castle’s mission is actually pretty clear: Try to find a way to keep her safe, and distract her from her rather precarious position.

Of course, it goes without saying that this is not an easy job, and for viewers, it plays out in some ways like a recap episode. The sneak peek below has a few assorted highlights of the show’s run mixed in, and they serve as not-so-subtle reminders of a few things:

1. Beckett likes to change up her hair.

2. Castle has always been pretty cocky.

3. The show has come quite a long way with its style since it first started to air, in addition to the way that Castle and Beckett act around each other.
