‘Glee’ season 4 song spoilers: Hear Naya Rivera, Lea Michele, more ‘At the Ballet’

GleeIn just two days, we are going to have an opportunity to see the return of Sarah Jessica Parker on “Glee” as Isabelle Wright, the Vogue.com editor that Kurt spent quite a bit of time working under earlier on this season.

As for the reason why she is back on the show now, it seems to be twofold: She will help to wrap up her storyline with Chris Colfer’s character, and she will call on his help in part with some sort of event she is holding. Ultimately, this seems to bleed into the performance of “At the Ballet” from “A Chorus Line.”

We know that Broadway numbers don’t necessarily appeal to all viewers of “Glee,” which means that there are some that may find this performance to be rather dull. However, this is one of those full stage numbers that we actually find to be thoroughly engaging in the context of the show, and we wonder just how the editors are going to cut this down while having the story of the song work. Colfer, Lea Michele (Rachel), Parker, and Naya Rivera (Santana) all have opportunities to have their voices heard in here, which is a good thing since this is the only musical number from this group this week. Over the past few weeks attention has shifted more to McKinley High, and it appears to be staying that way for the time being. As for whether or not the balance will be different in the finale, that is an entirely different story.
