‘Bones’ season 8 finale spoilers: First look at Pelant’s return

When “Bones” season 8 airs its season finale on Monday, April 29, know that it is going to be a pretty intense hour of television. Why? Let’s just say that one of the show’s most notorious villains is back yet again, and we expect that he’s not going to be in the mood to really deal with Brennan or Booth any more than he has to. Of course, the real question that we have to ask at the moment is rather simple: is he finally going to be taken down this time.

This episode is entitled “The Secret in the Siege,” and based on the official synopsis below from Fox, this could be a particularly dangerous episode when it comes to David Boreanaz’s character. Why is that? More than ever, his very life may end up being on the line:

“When evil tech genius Christopher Pelant (guest star Andrew Leeds) returns to toy with the Jeffersonian team in their newest investigation, they discover that the string of murders that have been occurring are tied to FBI agents close to Booth (David Boreanaz). Meanwhile, as the investigation unfolds, Sweets realizes that the evidence seems all too familiar to him and Brennan starts evaluating her relationship with Booth when signs begin to point to him as a potential target of Pelant’s.”

We do anticipate a very Pelant-centric episode of the show, if for no other reason right now than merely that there’s really nothing else that the show could focus on, save for maybe Booth and Brennan getting engaged. The two are already together, after all, and they have a child. What more is there?
