‘The Following’ episode 13 preview: Ryan goes rogue
Thus far on “The Following,” there has been one consistent theme almost throughout: the FBI does not exactly win many of its battles. At a matter of fact, they lose far more than we can ever begin to count here. The group has made a habit of being involved in one disaster after the next, and much of it thus far has allowed Joe Carroll and his group to start to pick up momentum.
So where does this take us leading up to Monday night’s new episode? Basically, Ryan is not going to wait around for the bureau any longer in order to make his move, especially when there are some vulnerabilities apparent in Joe’s group in a way that have not been there before.
If you want some more specifics, be sure to check out the official synopsis for the hour below:
“The Havenport Police Department are brought onto the case and Roderick’s role as sheriff is called into question, which leads him to make a shocking decision that threatens the safety of Joey. Meanwhile, Ryan goes against the FBI in hope of gaining the trust of one of Joe’s followers.”
There are only three episodes left this season, so the challenge for executive producer Kevin Williamson and company now is effectively rather simple: how do you find a way to end this series, and also set the stage for what could be an exciting season 2 that does not feel like more of the same?
