Tom Cruise takes an egg to the face on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’

Even though Jimmy Fallon may be in transition now for his new “Tonight Show” gig airing early next year, it’s still more of the same when it comes to his popular “Late Night” show. As you may have predicted, this includes more opportunities to watch celebrity guests embarrass themselves and/or get themselves completely messy after an interview.

For whatever reason, one of Fallon’s more hilarious guests traditionally is none other than Tom Cruise. While the actor may not be a favorite of everyone’s he and Jimmy get along very well and have a great chemistry; unfortunately, Tom probably needs to work on some of his game-playing skills if he ever wants to actually compete in a competition on this show. The rules of this contest, after all, were really rather simple: to smash an egg onto your head, and see what sort of hilarious results come as a result. Out of the dozen eggs that are in the carton, eight of them are hard-boiled; meanwhile, four are still raw, and the first person to smash two on themselves will be declared the winner.

As alluded to earlier, this did not go very well for Tom. But how badly did he fail? We don’t want to ruin all of the results for you, but you can check it out in the video below. Tom was on the show in order to promote his new movie “Oblivion,” and the only other thing that he does have to brag about is that he did at least beat Jimmy in the water competition the last time he was on the show.
