‘Big Brother Canada’ live feed spoilers: Alec tries to pull a Dan Gheesling
Well, you have to give Alec once again credit for trying to be this enormous player on “Big Brother Canada” this season. Unfortunately, the majority of his moves over the past week have sputtered and swerved completely out of control. His disinterest in winning the endurance competition was a mistake, and his throwing of the Power of Veto Competition to Peter was an even bigger one. He basically over-estimated his own savvy while also underestimating the intelligence of everyone else, thinking that he could pull tricks on them and get them to bend to his will.
Sadly, Alec’s worst move came in violating all Big Brother Protocol: don’t try to pull the same sort of big strategic move you just saw on this past season. For a good part of this evening, it looked like Alec was going to create this sort of big plan a la Dan Gheesling’s funeral last season in throwing himself this sort of elaborate “last supper” for himself, complete with some sort of speech designed to get in the other players’ heads.
It seemed as though this plan was all systems go … but of course, everyone quickly figured out what he was trying to pull. Alec was pretty openly mocked by everyone behind his back for even considering going down the Dan road, including various comments suggesting that he was just trying to mimic past “Big Brother” players. He didn’t end up going through with the plan in full, and now, his focus is really just on trying to ensure that Peter finds a way to stay in the game beyond the next eviction. (Hey, he doesn’t have any real chance, so why not?)
What do you think about Alec’s idea, and then the fact that he really didn’t go through with it? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can read our full review of Sunday night’s “Big Brother Canada” over at the link here.
