‘Psych’ season 7, episode 7 preview: Lassiter’s bachelor party

There are just some episodes of “Psych” that really don’t need much of an introduction at all, and Wednesday night’s installment is one of them. Why? Basically, all you have to do is say the words “Lasstier’s bachelor party,” and it is rather easy to become instantly excited about it. We anticipate there being some pretty wacky and crazy things that take place here, beginning with the fact that the detective does not really seem that interested in having one to begin with.

So why the reluctance? The easy answer here is simply that Carlton is getting married in about as hasty a fashion as possible, and with a very simple reason behind it: he’s just trying to get hitched so that he can live with his fiancee Marlowe, who is forbidden from doing so with anyone under the terms of her probation unless they are a spouse. You gotta love loopholes, right?

Of course, despite his feelings on the matter Shawn and Gus are going to throw one for him anyway, and to make matters even more entertaining / weird, they will be joined by the creepy coroner Woody. There will of course be all sorts of shenanigans that happen here as a result, and we’re not sure all of them are going to be that different from what you typically see during a fictionalized bachelor party. Of course, the irony here is probably that this celebration is far more intense than whatever Shawn decides to do when he does pop the question to Juliet. We first saw hints that this was on his mind last season, and while it hasn’t been brought up recently, the two characters are living together.
