‘The Following’ episode 12 preview: The Emma – Claire confrontation
While “The Following” has had its fair share of up-and-down moments ever since the beginning of the series, there is likely one scene in particular that you have been looking forward to almost since the very beginning of the show that is coming up on Monday night: the confrontation between Emma and Claire. The last time these two were in the same room together, it was under the guise that Emma was supposedly trying to care for Claire’s child like any normal nanny would. However, now the truth is out that she is a diabolical woman that has had relations with at least two members of creepy Joe Carroll and his crew.
There are almost sure to be some fireworks when these two parties meet up, but this is far from the only significant event that transpires in the episode entitled “The Curse.” After all, we’re going to see the return of a character from earlier on in the show’s run, and a possible opening for Ryan to actually discover where Carroll is located with the rest of the followers.

“Ryan and the FBI discover a follower who might be able to lead them to Joe Carroll’s location. Agent Weston returns to the case but his run-in with the cult may have had a bigger impact on him than anyone originally thought. Meanwhile, Claire and Emma come face-to-face for the first time since Joey’s kidnapping.”
With there only being four episodes left this season, we are starting to be at the time when “The Following” is going to have to deal with some burning questions. For example, is Joe going to be taken down by the end of the season? The issue with this show is that you can’t have the same Big Bad around forever without making the hero incompetent, and you also run into “The Killing” all over again when you don’t solve the mystery that was set up at the start of the season.
