‘Big Time Rush’: Victoria Justice stays on Nickelodeon with new guest spot

VictoriousDespite seeing her own hit show “Victorious” come to a close, Victoria Justice is still clearly throwing her support behind Nickelodeon; after all, she is now appearing on one of the network’s other most-popular shows.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, the actress / singer is slated to appear in an upcoming episode of “Big Time Rush” in a role that we hope that she was born to play: herself. The storyline for the episode will be rather interesting, as Justice is forced to entertain a crowd of impatient fans while the boys are stuck in traffic. The installment is appropriately entitled “Big Time Tour Bus,” and one of the notable things about it is that it is directed by one of the show’s band members in Carlos Pena. (In other words, the guys are expanding their horizons in all ways!)

There is also a pretty smart air of cross-promotion thrown in here, as the band is going to be heading out on tour with Justice as a special guest beginning in Los Angeles on July 21. What better way to get the word out about a guest performer than having her appear on your scripted show? It’s pretty ingenious, really, and it also goes to show just how closely Justice is tied in to the Nickelodeon family now despite her show ending. After all, it’s certainly possible that there will be more opportunities coming her way in the future.

Ultimately, what do you think about this casting, and is this a smart move from your standpoint from the “Big Time Rush” production team? Be sure to share your thoughts below. If you want to see one recent award that “Victorious” recently walked away with, you can do so over at the link here.
