‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Who’s returning to direct an episode?

Kevin McKiddWe we near the end of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9, it looks like we will be seeing the return of a few familiar faces to the director’s chair; and with more on that, we may as well go ahead an share the big news that Kevin McKidd is going to be stepping back into the chair again. This news comes to us courtesy of Wetpaint, and we are also hearing that the title for this episode (the 22nd of the new season) is going to be “Do You Believe In Magic.” The title certainly brings miracles to mind, and it also continues the show’s common theme of trying to title episodes after pieces of music.

This episode will mark the fifth time over the past two years that we have seen McKidd take on the role of director, and it’s almost interesting in a way that despite his robust resume, the only episodes of anything that he has taken this role for is for the Shonda Rhimes medical drama. The executive producer is also letting him on this occasion take on one of the series’ most significant hours yet: there will only be one installment after this one prior to the season 9 finale, so you have to assume that the story has to be structured in a very certain way in order for the story to work.

When it comes to McKidd’s character of Owen, much of the story as of late has revolved by and large around Owen trying to find his place in what is an ever-changing hospital. Luckily, Jackson did reinstate him as the man really overseeing the actions of some of the doctors, since (plane crash excluded) this is where he really shines.

What do you think about this title, and are you glad to see McKidd directing again? If you want to see some more early scoop on the “Grey’s Anatomy” finale, you can do so just by heading on over to the link here.
