‘True Blood’ season 6: Check out the first promo from HBO!

Are you ready for “True Blood” season 6 to start? While you may be waiting until Sunday, June 16 for the show to premiere on HBO, the new promo just released certainly suggests that we are in for a bloody good time.

When it come to actually explaining the storyline ahead, the clip doesn’t really do very much of that. However, we have to be happy for some actual video rather than just some quotes sprawled out over cool graphics (which is something that we have received before). There are shots of Alcide ripping open his shirt, a new evil rising, Bill (or “Billith,” as you may prefer to call him now) being very evil, and also a scene featuring Sookie and Jessica.

More than anything else, the new promo makes it appear as though we are in for a shocking new season with as much action as possible crammed into just ten episodes. Some of the new characters include a mysterious vampire named Macklyn, Louisiana Governor Burrell (a noted vampire hater), a faerie love interest for Sookie, and also some other new vampires who could bring a new sense of emotion and intrigue to the ranks of them that are already around the town of Bon Temps.

“True Blood” will pick up immediately following the end of “Game of Thrones” season 3, and sadly, there is no word just yet on when its Sunday-night companion “The Newsroom” will return just yet. Hopefully, we’ll have some more information soon, along with a promo from it to share.
