‘Bones’ season 8 spoilers: New details on arrival of Booth’s mom
When you consider that much of the upcoming “Bones” season 8 episode “The Party in the Pants” has been hyped up based by and large on the appearance from Joanna Cassidy as Booth’s mom, isn’t the title suddenly a little bit awkward? Possibly so, but we have a feeling that this April 15 installment is going to be one that delivers. After all, we rarely get opportunities to really take a dive into some of our leads’ past, especially when it is someone who has been completely absent from a character’s life for as long as this woman has.
Of course, this episode is not just going to revolve around this character entering the picture; there is still a mystery that needs to be solved, and it has a rather interesting twist about why a man who has a pretty great job would choose to live it up at night by basically becoming this show’s version of “Magic Mike.” Be sure to check out the full synopsis below courtesy of Fox:
“The Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of Jack Spindler, a successful employee at a brokerage firm by day, but a stripper by night. When his remains are found at a demolition site, it leads the team to investigate why someone with such a successful career would take on a second job. However, when the team learns how Spindler’s job affected his personal life, they start to question the people closest to him, including his stripper friend, Storm (guest star Brandon Barash). Meanwhile, Booth’s mother (guest star Joanna Cassidy) shows up after a twenty-four year absence in his life and makes a special request of him.”
Whatever does happen during this episode is surely going to carry over to the episodes that follow, as there are only two more episodes following this one until the 24-episode season is done. (Originally, it was reported that we were not going to see Cassidy at all until the end of the season.)
