‘Bones’ season 8 finale spoilers: More Booth and Brennan marriage talk
We are starting to close in on the end of “Bones” season 8 and this season certainly hasn’t held back any punches when it comes to putting the staff at the Jeffersonian lab in danger.
We’ve seen Brennan get shot while working in the lab and almost die and Pelant made a brief return to terrorize and threaten Hodgins, Angela and their son (including stealing Hodgins fortune and leaving them penniless). With all of the danger surrounding our favorite science nerds this season we were starting to wonder if the masterminds behind “Bones” were done dangling the cast over death’s door – seems that this is not going to be the case.
We know that not only is Pelant going to make a return before “Bones” season 8 is done, but also TVLine is reporting that in the second to last episode of the season, someone in the lab will contract a highly contagious disease that has already killed a blogger. The lab will have to be shut down, while the team tries to find the murderer in order to find the antidote to treat the affected member of the lab.
What everyone really wants to know is – are Booth and Brennan going to get engaged (or married) before the season is over. After this week’s episode of “Bones” that found Booth and Brennan in a jewelery shop looking at engagement rings and the knowledge that there will be a wedding before the season is out, viewers can’t wait to find out if it’s Booth and Brennan. Executive producer Stephen Nathan tells TV Guide that the finale will include more marriage talk for Booth and Brennan. He said: “The notion of marriage is again brought up in the finale. If you thought the pot was stirred [this week], the pot… overflows and messes up the kitchen floor in the season finale.”
Who will end up with this life threatening disease? At this point no one’s revealing the identity of the character that will be facing death, but we have our guesses.
