‘Psych’ season 7, episode 6 preview: Look who’s back!

So where does “Psych” go as a series after having what was in many ways a 100th episode spectacular? Why, they go a little bit back to their roots! The sixth episode of the season is going to be entitled “Cirque Du Soul,” and it will be a little bit more of an old-school romp that throws Shawn and Gus into a world that is rather unfamiliar to them: the circus! There will be clowns, elephants, carnies, and much more.

The other great thing about this episode? That it manages to combine the old with the new, as much of the reason for the circus storyline revolves around Gus’ new girlfriend, who has a son that he is desperately trying to connect with on some level. We know that Gus wants to find somebody, but there have already been some moments thrown in here that suggest that he is forcing the issue a little bit, almost as if he is unsure that there will be another opportunity like this for him in the future based on some of his lack of luck in love over the course of most of the series’ run.

In addition to this, Kristy Swanson is also going to be back on the show as Marlowe, Lassiter’s girlfriend who has spent a good bit of time as of late in prison. Doesn’t she have to be getting out soon? We hope so, for Lassie’s sake if nothing else.
